Gomphrena Globosa

Common Name: “Shooting Stars Globe Amaranth”

I’m pretty sure “Horton” can hear hundreds of little “Who” villages in these pink-puff flowers! Hold them up close and they really do look like a little fire-works explosion. A fast-growing, drought tolerant, full sun, tough mass of pink flowers all warm season. Often an annual in many colder climates, but it’s a great perennial in warmer southern and coastal California areas. Cut it down to the ground in winter when it gets ratty, and it will be back strong again the next spring.
