Common Name: Germander
Teucrium chamaedrys, commonly known as Germander is a low-growing and spreading herbaceous perennial border plant, or low mound. Blooms in the summer months with spires of small, lavender blossoms. Loves the sun and well-drained soil. Low to medium water needs. Prune to keep neat. Makes a nice foreground or border choice in the landscape. Glossy dark green leaves form water-wise and cold (or heat) tolerant mounds that explode in purple flowers in Spring! Best used in rock gardens, borders and planters.
