Common name: Firewall Aloe

Aloe ciliaris hybrid, commonly know as Firewall Aloe is a small, triangular, deep green leaves on low growing, spreading stems. This 2ft. tall plant spreads up to eight feet in 2 to 3 years. Short spikes of brilliant orange-red flowers appear in late winter through spring. This plant can be used effectively on slopes, and provides a great barrier against fires when planted in wide enough swaths because of the tremendous amount of moisture stored in its leaves
