Common Name: Mexican Weeping Bamboo
Otatea acuminata aztecorum, commonly known as Mexican Weeping Bamboo. Graceful cascades of soft, fine textured foliage weeping from 14′ to 8′-10′ wide in arching stems. Clumping habit; no runners! Full sun or part shade. Striking in large containers. Dark stems. Definitely one of the all-time, most beautiful of the Bamboos, and yet one of the few whose size and growth habit is easily manageable.
