Common name: Century Plant

Agave americana, commonly known as Century Plant is certainly the most classic and best-known of all of the “Century Plants.” Large, toothy, blue-grey leaves. Despite its name, the flower spike may develop in as little as 15 to 20 years, rather than 100 years. Overall size to 5′ around and clumping. Hardy to high teens, full sun- extremely water-wise when established.
