Common name: Needles & Strings Agave

Agave filamentosa, commonly known as Needles & Strings Agave has strings that peel off of the edges as they emerge and unfold from center. Usually no wider than 12″ and under 6″-8″ tall, they start clumping nicely with maturity. Manageable size for containers and do well in full sun or dry, partial shade. Because of its interesting lines and “laciness,” this slow growing little Agave is a favorite of everybody who loves unusual plants with an artistic appeal!
