Aloe hyb. ‘Forlirpa’, commonly known as Mini Coral Aloe is a very tiny, jewel of an Aloe that only grows to about 3” high with slender flower stems merging to about 16”. Flowers are produced continuously throughout the year, as little coral-pink bells hanging from the stem. This plant is best used in small areas or rock gardens, or as a potted plant. Plants are very enduring, and can live to be many years old, forming a small, spreading clump to about 18” wide. Performs best in lightly filtered shade, or indoors on a sunny window sill. Full sun is fine in cooler coastal areas. Tender to frost. This hybrid was created by Tom Jesch in the mid 1970’s as a cross between Aloe zanzabarensis and a rare miniature Aloe collected by the late Mr. Crosby (of Crassula ‘Crosby’s Compact’) who gave it to Tom, personally.
