Crassula capitella
Crassula capitella, commonly known as Crassula Campfire brings dramatic succulent foliage color to add to your landscape, then take this little darling out for a date! In the winter time, her wardrobe dons a beautiful and intense ruby-red color to its rich green interior leaves. Though this brilliant color is not as dramatic in the summer seasons, it still has a nice redness to it. Low growing, mounding habit, not exceeding just a few inches in height, it will slowly spread. Excellent used in container groupings, in the nooks and crannies of the garden, or as a low succulent border. Hardy to upper 30’s, must have full sun to achieve its brilliant foliage colors. Sends out clusters of extremely tiny white flowers on 4 inches stems, but fade quickly and become unattractive when spent- prune off at this time.
