Product Details
Botanical Name: Graptopetalum paraguayense
Common name: Opal Grey

Graptopetalum paraguayense, common known as Opal Grey, has beautiful opalescent leaves with tones of grey, pink, and amethyst, are arranged in whorls and rosettes on stiff, creeping or hanging stems. This is a very unique pearlescent foliage color making it a great contrast among more common, tints of green. It can take full sun in cooler, coastal climates, but really appreciates some shade. Probably one of the prettiest plantings of it that I’ve seen, is where it was growing, cascading down, an old adobe wall, rooting in along its stems with its ghostly foliage spilling over the rich, earthy tones of the adobe where it happily lived under a lot of shade from shrubbery above, and the adjacent house! Likes regular garden watering, and good drainage, but will tolerate long intervals without watering if necessary. Best hanging over the edges of containers or tucked into the nooks and crannies of rock gardens and walls.
