Iris, Bearded

Iris, Bearded, commonly known as Grandma’s Purple Iris has sword like, upright leaves to approximately 6″-14” tall, produce incredibly beautiful flower very complex in form. Typically, Bearded Iris love cold winters and a warm spring. Prefer full sun, but will tolerate some shade. Bloom season is spring; however we have had some blooming well into fall. Available in many colors, but one of our most popular bloomers is “Antique Purple” (or “Grandma’s Purple”). “Grandma’s Purple” is one of the few that continue to bloom sporadically through other seasons than spring. Very drought tolerant, and hardy to below 0° F.
