Strelitzia reginae

Strelitzia reginae, commonly known as Bird Of Paradise is grown for its long lasting, bird-like flowers of orange, blue and white on long, stiff stems! Very tropical looking, blooming intermittently throughout the year. Blue green, leathery foliage approximately 4-6 inches wide by 1.5 feet long. These clumping plants will get quite round and about 5 feet tall and round, looking their best when divided often. Full sun to part shade. Hardy to the low 30’s. Very drought tolerant when established, but enjoys regular watering environments as well.
