Aechmea blanchetiana, commonly known as ‘Apricot Sun’. Is one of the most popular landscaping bromeliads for a tropical looking garden. These giants can grow up to 4.5′ high and 3′ wide! They develop their glorious orange or “apricot” coloring in full sun. In the spring they develop huge brilliant red flower stalks that emerge from the tight center rosette of leaves. The aechmea blanchetiana is a very prolific plant which can produce as many as a 6 offsets from one plant.
