Common name: Caribbean Agave
A nice, medium-sized Agave that’s trouble-free and beautiful! Excellent from cooler, west-coastal climates to interior, hot low desert environments. It tolerates quite a bit of cold, down to the mid 20’s, and is fast growing, but never achieving the huge sizes of many of its relatives. It is resistant to the snout-weevil grubs that devastate so many other Agave species. The creamy white margins on soft green centers, and lightly toothed edges, radiate out from the center to produce a very organized, architectural look. This is a really user-friendly species that remains manageable in size and application, for many years of service, in modern landscapes as well as desert garden applications.
