Aloe sp. ‘Red Hot Chili Pepper’, commonly known as the Red Hot Chili Pepper Aloe is a wonderful little Aloe that pops up with fiery orange-red flowers all year round. Its leaves are slender and almost a succulent grass-like texture, rich green in color, and only to about 6” high, forming wispy mounds to 18” wide. Full sun in cooler, coastal climates; Filtered shade for hot inland areas. Frost sensitive. Great as a container plant that rarely outgrows its space. Does well on a sunny window sill as an indoor houseplant. Enjoys almost regular garden watering, but needs good drainage. Performs best on a mound, or slight slope.
