WwB (What would be...) A good plant recommendation?
Agave
Common name: Moonshine
Over a few decades now, the only “soft” agave for California coastal landscaping has been Agave Attenuata. And when we say “soft” as far as being tender to frost, we really mean SOFT! Most of the time when we specify it we’re visualizing that broad, smooth rosette at ground level. Rarely are we picturing its mature profile- up on ugly bare stems 2-3 feet off the ground... and achieving an overall mass of many feet wide and high. What’s the answer? The ghost-like Agave we’ve always dreamed of! More hardy to frost, never grows up on a stem, great in full sun or shade, no pokey spikes, and stays reasonably sized (2’-3’ wide, by 18” high.
Don't forget to ask about the "Certified Label Program," when picking up new plants.
